My work focuses on the relations between science and politics; and science and society. It analyzes these relations from the geographical and cartographical discourse and their role in the Colombian State constitution during XIX century.

The searching of new historical sources that allows us to study the geographical and cartographical discourse has been one of the main interests of my research.
